I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
